DAY 1: SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 15 - DEPART USA
Depart from Bradley International Airport (BDL), Hartford, CT on your overnight, non-stop flight to Dublin, Ireland. (meals in flight)
DAY 2: MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 16 - WELCOME TO IRELAND/DUBLIN
On arrival at Dublin Airport you’ll meet your driver and guide before boarding your motor coach and transferring to Dublin City Center. On the way you, will enjoy a panoramic city tour of this “Fair City”, as you discover both the north side of the River Liffey, an area offering great striking monuments, as well as Phoenix Park, the largest public park in Europe, and then the more sophisticated south side, with its vast Georgian squares, along with Grafton Street and its quality shops. This part of the city is also dominated by the students of Trinity College. Next you'll visit the Gothic St. Patrick’s Cathedral, built in honor of Ireland’s patron saint, today it is the National Cathedral of the Church of Ireland (Anglican). After your visit, Father John will celebrate a welcome Mass at a local church. Following Mass, continue to the Mespil Hotel (www.mespilhotel.com) and check-in. The remainder of your day will be at leisure to rest or explore the Dublin on your own. This evening enjoy a welcome cocktail followed by dinner at your hotel. Overnight at Mespil Hotel, Dublin. (D)
DAY 3: TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 17 - DUBLIN
Your day starts with a visit to Trinity College. Here you'll see one of Ireland’s most illustrious books... the 9th century Book of Kells, an illustrated manuscript of the four New Testament Gospels, and the Long Room. Then you’ll visit the Guinness Brewery, for a tour ending at the Gravity Bar where you’ll enjoy a pint of Guinness. Enjoy the balance of your day at leisure. Dinner is on your own this evening. Overnight at the Mespil Hotel, Dublin. (B)
DAY 4: WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 18 - DUBLIN/COUNTY WICKLOW
This morning travel south of Dublin to County Wicklow and the Wicklow Mountains. Wicklow, known as “the Garden of Ireland”, is an excellent escape for those wishing to visit the Irish Countryside. You’ll visit Glendalough Monastic Site and Visitor Centre. After your visit, Father John will celebrate Mass in a local Glendalough church. Late afternoon return to your hotel and then this evening enjoy dinner and an evening of entertainment at Merry Ploughboys Pub or similar featuring a lively show of contemporary Irish dancing. DAY 5: THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 19 - DUBLIN/KNOCK/ GALWAY
Today you will depart Dublin and head for the west coast of Ireland and County Mayo where you will visit Knock Shrine. The story of Knock began on the August 21, 1879 when Our Lady, St. Joseph and St. John the Evangelist appeared to 15 people, both young and old, at the south gable of Knock Parish Church, and from this miraculous occurrence Knock has grown to the status of an internationally recognized Marian Shrine. Father John will celebrate Mass at the Knock Shrine. After Mass, you’ll continue to the Clybaun Hotel (www.clybaunhotel.ie) and check-in. Dinner is at your hotel this evening. DAY 6: FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 20 - GALWAY/CONNEMARA
This morning visit the Connemara Region, a land of lakes and rivers, bogs and mountains, and small villages where Gaelic is still the spoken language and where little has changed since the beginning of time. Then visit Kylemore Abbey, located in the Kylemore Pass in Connemara. One of Kylemore Abbey’s most famous features is its miniature cathedral, built in 1870 and known locally as the Gothic church. Late afternoon return to your hotel. Dinner is on your own this evening. Overnight at the Clybaun Hotel, Galway. (B)
DAY 7: SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 21 - GALWAY/COUNTY KERRY
This morning you will depart for County Kerry passing through County Clare. First stop is a visit to Doolin Music House. Christy Barry and his partner Sheila have entertained friends and musicians at their home for many years, sitting around the fire playing music and telling stories. You will enjoy the experience of visiting a local home, enjoying local company and listening to a good traditional music session around the fire. Christy talks and discusses the history of traditional Irish music and plays great tunes together with his friend James Devitt. Sheila is an artist and her works surround the rooms in the house creating a truly art home atmosphere. Then this afternoon enjoy a Cliffs of Moher Cruise. Situated on the Atlantic Ocean and bordering the Burren Area, the Cliffs of Moher are one of Ireland's most spectacular sights. Standing 230 meters (755 feet) at their highest point and 8 km (5 miles) long, the Cliffs boast one of the most amazing views in Ireland. This spectacular cruise is a real treat for the senses as you experience the Cliffs viewed from the sea and hear and see the thousands of seabirds in their natural environment including, Ireland's largest Puffin colony. (Please note that if the group is large, you will split into two groups and while one visits Doolin Music House, the other will experience the Cliffs of Moher cruise, then you'll swap in the afternoon.) Later your motor coach will take the Shannon Car Ferry across the Shannon Estuary continuing to the Castlerosse Hotel and Leisure Centre (www.castlerosse.ie) and check-in. Dinner is at your hotel this evening. Overnight at the Castlerosse Hotel, Killarney. (B/D)
DAY 8: SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 22 - COUNTY KERRY
This morning, Father John will concelebrate Mass at a local parish. After Mass, you will depart for the scenic town of Kenmare nestled between the high mountains and the sea which explains its name in Irish, Neidin meaning ‘little nest’. A Heritage Town, Kenmare retains its links to an ancient past, with its Bronze Age Druid's Circle, consisting of 15 standing stones - once a burial place and a site used for worshipping the Sun god. Here you will visit a smoked salmon factory for a tour and tasting followed by a buffet lunch at Con’s Bar & Restaurant or similar. After lunch, enjoy a cruise on Kenmare Bay (approximately 45 minutes) where you’ll see seals, castles and learn about the history of salmon in the area. After the cruise return to Killarney stopping to take photos at some of the highlights along the Ring of Kerry, such as Molls Gap and Ladies View, on the way back to your hotel. Dinner is on your own this evening. Overnight at the Castlerosse Hotel, Killarney. (B/L)
DAY 9: MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 23 - COUNTY KERRY/COUNTY CORK
Today you depart Kerry and head for County Cork. Along the way, enjoy a brief drive through Gougane Barra Forest Park. The name Guágan Barra derives from St. Finbar, who according to tradition built his monastery on the island here in the 6th century. You'll continue to Blarney and visit Blarney Castle, built in 1446, and the famous Blarney Stone. “The Stone of Eloquence” is traditionally believed to have the power to bestow the gift of eloquence on all those who kiss it. After your visit, you’ll have free time for shopping at the Blarney Woolen Mills (highly recommended). Then continue to the MacDonald Kinsale Hotel (www.kinsalehotelandspa.ie) and check-in. DAY 10: TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 24 - COUNTY CORK/KINSALE
This morning enjoy a walking tour of Kinsale town with a local guide. Kinsale is one of Ireland’s best known small towns and is known as the gastronomic center of Ireland. Kinsale is a town of many small-winding streets and beautiful strolls along the coast and you have the afternoon at leisure to explore them on your own. Dinner is on your own this evening. Overnight at the MacDonald Kinsale Hotel, Kinsale. (B)
DAY 11: WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25 - COUNTY CORK/COUNTY WEXFORD
Today you will depart Cork and head for County Wexford. First you’ll visit St. Declan’s Well. St. Declan arrived in Ireland before St. Patrick and is regarded as the first person to bring Christianity to Ireland. Then continue to Waterford and visit the Waterford Crystal Visitor Centre for a tour. Some free time in Waterford before continuing to the Talbot Hotel Wexford (www.talbothotel.ie) and check-in. Dinner is at your hotel this evening. Overnight at the Talbot Hotel, Wexford. (B/D)
DAY 12: THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 26 - COUNTY WEXFORD
This morning you’ll visit the JFK Homestead, birthplace of President John F. Kennedy’s great-grandfather Patrick Kennedy. The homestead celebrates the story of five generations of the Kennedy dynasty and is still farmed today by his descendants. Then continue to Tintern Abbey, a Cistercian abbey, founded in c. 1200 by William Marshall, Earl of Pembroke, and named after Tintern in Wales. This afternoon, visit a unique example of an almost intact medieval lighthouse, Hook Head Lighthouse. It dates from the early 13th century and was a major accomplishment at the time of its construction. Except for a short closure during the 17th century, it is thought to be one of the oldest operational lighthouses in the world. Late afternoon return to your hotel. Dinner is on your own this evening. Overnight at the Talbot Hotel, Wexford. (B)
DAY 13: FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 27 - COUNTY WEXFORD/DUBLIN
Today you will depart Wexford and return to Dublin. On arrival enjoy a visit to the Jameson Distillery. The Jameson Distillery Bow Street in Smithfield village is located in the heart of Dublin city center. This old barley storehouse, once the center of distilling in Dublin, was renovated in 1998 and converted into a museum where all the secrets of Irish whiskey's distillation will be revealed. The visit culminates in the Jameson bar with an opportunity for all to taste the signature Jameson drink. Then continue to the Ashling Hotel Dublin (www.ashlinghotel.ie) and check-in. This evening, Father John celebrates a farewell Mass at a local Dublin church followed by the group’s farewell dinner at a local Dublin restaurant. Following dinner, return to and overnight at the Ashling Hotel, Dublin. (B)(D)
DAY 14: SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 28 - DEPARTURE TO U.S.A.
After a final breakfast at your hotel, check out and transfer to Dublin Airport for your return non-stop flight home to Bradley International Airport (BDL), Hartford, CT.

Ireland 2019 Terms and Conditions
TOUR PRICES: The tour price includes round-trip airfare from Bradley International Airport, Hartford, CT and land services in Ireland as outlined in the tour brochure and itinerary. All prices stated herein are quoted in U.S. dollars (unless otherwise stated) and are based on tariffs, taxes and currency exchange rates in effect at the time of publication. Your price is subject to increase prior to the time you make full payment. Your price is not subject to increase after you make full payment, except for charges resulting from increases in government-imposed taxes and fees or airline fuel surcharges and fees. Tour documents and airline tickets will be issued after final payment has been received and processed, normally during a pre-departure group meeting held 1-3 weeks prior to departure.
A deposit of $350 is required to secure a reservation. Late reservations (within 60 days of departure) accepted, if space is available, with full payment due immediately by bank check or money order, and may be subject to a $100 late reservation fee plus any increase in quoted airfare.
Payment by cash, check or money order made payable to FJ Tours, LLC or credit card. Returned checks are subject to a $25 fee.
GROUP SIZE: All tour prices herein are per person and based on a minimum of 25 passengers, except for optional tours which require a minimum of 10 passengers.
AIR TRANSPORTATION: Regularly scheduled economy class service on any International Air Transportation Association (IATA) or Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC) (i.e., commercial) carrier. Transatlantic air transportation is based on special, non-refundable economy class contracted fares for this group. The air taxes (domestic and foreign government taxes, which include security fees (including the September 11th security fee), airport facility charges, customs, immigration and inspection fees, etc.) and airline fuel surcharges and fees, as of 12/14/2018, are included in the tour cost, and are subject to change until tickets are issued. If final government-imposed air taxes and fees or airline fuel surcharges and fees are greater than estimated, the additional amount will be billed on a final tour invoice. There is no advance seat selection for group departures. Early check-in is required to secure seats with a travel companion. International flights require arriving at the departure airport at least three (3) hours prior to departure. The passenger is solely responsible for getting to departure airports, check-in and boarding for all flights within the airline's published times. The Tour Operator assumes no liability or responsibility for missed flights or connections. Land Only packages do not include airport-hotel transfers in destination countries.
PASSENGER NAME: Passenger is responsible for ensuring that the passenger name printed on the tour invoice matches EXACTLY the name as it appears on their passport. Due to security requirements, any name change including minor spelling corrections are subject to airline change fees, and may require airline reservations to be cancelled and rebooked. Airline reservations are subject to availability at the time of rebooking and may result in an increased airfare. Any airline change fees or increased airfare are the passenger’s responsibility. Airline tickets once issued are nonrefundable. The Tour Operator assumes no liability or responsibility for denial of services by any carrier due to any name discrepancy.
HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS: Double occupancy, standard twin bedded rooms with private bath throughout. Single rooms are available at an additional cost as stated in the tour brochure. Single rooms, although assuring privacy, may be small in size and may be located in remote parts of the hotel away from the rest of the group. A limited number of single rooms are available. Special requests such as bed types, smoking preferences, and connecting rooms are subject to availability. On those rare occasions when we are not able to find a roommate for you, you will be required to pay the single supplement. Every effort will be made to give you sufficient prior notice if we cannot find you a roommate. Triple rooms may not be available in all countries and usually have limited availability.
PASSPORTS AND VISAS: Passports are required of all passengers. A valid U.S. passport that does not expire for at least six months after your scheduled return date (March 28, 2020) is required for all U.S. citizens. U.S. citizens do not need a visa to enter the European Union of which Ireland is a member. Non-U.S. citizens must check entry requirements with their respective Embassy or Consulate, and are responsible for obtaining their own visas and any other required travel documents at their own expense. The Tour Operator assumes no liability or responsibility for passport or visa procurement, or denial of services by any carrier due to lack of proper travel documentation.
LUGGAGE: Each passenger is limited to ONE (1) checked bag, that may have a maximum weight of 50 pounds and not exceed 62 linear inches (L+W+D), plus one (1) carry-on. Any bag exceeding these rules is subject to the airline’s excess baggage fees and are the passenger’s responsibility. Please visit the airline’s web site for complete baggage rules and restrictions. Hotel porterage services of one (1) bag per person are offered with this tour throughout Ireland. The Tour Operator accepts no liability or responsibility for loss or damage of luggage, although maximum care will be taken to ensure safe handling of your luggage.
CANCELLATION POLICY & PENALTIES: All cancellations must be received in writing and signed by the person who made the original reservation. Cancellations are only effective from the day they are actually received, either by fax, email or U.S. Mail, by FJ Tours, LLC. No refunds are issued for cancellations received after the tour departure date. If you cancel your tour, cancellation penalties will apply and will be deducted from any refund. Cancellation penalties apply to each passenger and the amount of the penalties assessed is based on the date the cancellation is effective, as follows. On or before June 15, 2019 - $50 administration fee; on or before July 15, 2019 - $350.00; on or before July 31, 2019 - 50% of total tour cost; on or before August 15, 2019 - 75% of total tour cost; on or after August 16, 2019 - 100% of total tour cost, no refund. Airline tickets once issued are nonrefundable. Any unused tour portions are nonrefundable. Airline tickets once issued are non-refundable. A travel protection plan with trip cancellation coverage is highly suggested.
TRAVEL PROTECTION: The Tour Operator offers an OPTIONAL travel protection plan for this tour. Please see the Group Travel Protection Plan flyer/application for complete details and costs, and the Group Travel Protection Plan Document for complete terms and conditions. Both the Tour Operator and Tour Sponsor strongly encourage all passengers to protect their travel investment with a travel protection plan.
MEDICAL CONDITION: The Tour Operator makes every effort to provide a high level of service to all passengers. Passengers who require special assistance must be accompanied by a qualified helper who assumes total responsibility for the disabled passenger’s well being. The Tour Operator is not responsible for any medical condition that occurs prior to, during or after the tour.
RESPONSIBILITY: The responsibility of FJ Tours, LLC, 15 Peach Orchard Road, PO Box 7177, Prospect, CT 06712-0177, Tel.: 203.805.5035, Fax: 203.916.5800, email: email@example.com, www.fj-tours.com, herein called the “Tour Operator”, and/or their agent (agents) is (are) limited. We (they) act only as agent for the passenger in regard to all matters connected with the making and securing of reservations with transportation carriers and other suppliers of services (“suppliers”), all of which are independent contractors, for accommodations, tours and travel, whether by railroad, motor coach, private car, boat, aircraft or any other conveyance; and assume no liability or responsibility for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity which may be occasioned by either reason of defect, through the acts or default of any company or supplier or person engaged in conveying the passenger or in carrying out the arrangements of the tour, or as a direct or indirect result of acts of God, dangers incident to the sea, fire, breakdown in machinery or equipment, acts of governments or other authorities, de jure or de facto, wars, whether declared or not, hostilities, civil disturbance, strikes, riots, theft, pilferage, epidemics, quarantines, medical or customs regulations, or from any causes beyond the Tour Operator’s control, or from any loss or damage resulting from improper passports, visas or other documents.
You are responsible for, and release the Tour Operator from: passport, visa, vaccination requirements, if applicable, and safety conditions in tour destination countries.
The airlines concerned are not responsible for any act, omission or event during the time you are not aboard their aircraft. The passenger contract in use by the airline, when issued, constitutes the sole contract between the passenger and airline. The passenger is solely responsible for getting to departure airports, check-in and boarding for all flights within the airline's published times. The Tour Operator assumes no liability or responsibility for missed flights or connections.
Anyone not utilizing the included transportation (i.e., Land Only package) is responsible for all subsequent transportation.
No changes in the itinerary are expected but we reserve the right to make them if necessary. Because of unforeseen changes in transportation schedules, the land portion of your tour may be occasionally extended or curtailed. The Tour Operator cannot be responsible for changes of itinerary. The number of days indicated for each itinerary begin with the scheduled day of departure and end with the scheduled return arrival day, irrespective of the hour of departure or return, and may vary due to transportation schedule changes.
The Tour Operator reserves the right to accept or decline any person as a member the tour, or to require any passenger to withdraw from the tour at any time who presents a significant risk to the health or safety of him/herself or of others which can not be eliminated or reduced to an acceptable level by the Tour Operator’s reasonable accommodation.
The Tour Operator reserves the right to cancel a tour in the event that the minimum number of passengers is not secured, and after refunding all partial and full payments, the Tour Operator has no further obligation to passengers on a cancelled tour. Unused portions of the tour itinerary are not refundable. Any deposit, partial or full payment for a tour reservation constitutes agreement and acceptance by the passenger to all the provisions of the tour brochure, itinerary, and tour terms and conditions.
HOLD HARMLESS: ORTV, Inc., D/B/A the Office of Radio & Television and/or WJMJ Radio (the “Tour Sponsor”), has selected FJ Tours, LLC to offer travel arrangements for its “Ireland 2019 with Father John” pilgrimage tour. The tour passenger hereby acknowledges and agrees that: (a) the Tour Sponsor is not in the business of providing travel services, and (b) the Tour Sponsor disclaims any liability or responsibility with respect to such travel services. Consequently, in engaging FJ Tours, LLC for this tour, the tour passenger expressly agrees to hold the Tour Sponsor harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, liabilities or judgments, at law or in equity, related to, arising from, or in connection, with respect to the travel, accommodation and tour services procured by the tour passenger. “Claims” include, without limitation: claims for personal injury, disability or death, directly or indirectly related to, arising from or in connection with, any negligence or breach by FJ Tours, LLC or by others.
