Are gratuities included?
Yes/No. Gratuities (tips) for tour managers, drivers and local guides are not included in your tour cost. Gratuities for porters and restaurant personnel (for included meals) are included in your tour cost. However, you may wish to offer a direct gratuity to recognize personal service or for your hotel chambermaid. Suggested gratuity amounts are included in your tour documents.
Do I need a passport?
Yes, if traveling outside the United States. A valid U.S. passport that does not expire for at least six months after the scheduled return date of your tour is required for all U.S. citizens. At this time U.S. citizens do not need a visa to enter European Union member countries. Non-U.S. citizens must check entry requirements with their respective Embassy or Consulate, and are responsible for obtaining their own visas and any other required travel documents at their own expense. The tour brochure will provide specific passport and/or visa requirements for your tour.
How much money will I need?
Obviously, only you know your own spending habits. However, we recommend that you begin your travels with a minimum equivalent of $250 in the local currency of the country you are traveling to.
